Water Fitness
Pav YMCA water fitness classes are for adults (16 years and over) of all ages and abilities. Most of our water-based exercise classes take place in the shallow end of the pool and are great for those with little or no swimming experience.
Water Works A high intensity workout to strengthen and tone your body. This class features low impact movements and uses a variety of resistance equipment.
Deep Water Movin’ Get a great workout with low-impact impact! This class takes place in the deep end of the pool and uses flotation devices to build cardiovascular strength and tone muscles. Participants should be comfortable in deep water.
Aquacize Get the best of both worlds with this low-impact cardio workout in both shallow and deep water! Great for those who like more challenge and variety!
Aqua-Flex This class is great for beginners! This class combines low intensity calisthenics and flexibility training for a great work out.
SilverSplash® (SilverSneakers® program) A new offering from the SilverSneakers® Fitness Program! This class uses the water to increase agility, range of motion, and cardiovascular conditioning. Learn how to use a kickboard to develop strength, balance and coordination in an environment that is fun, safe and effective! Swimming ability not required. Get wet, strong and meet new friends!
Smooth Moves (Arthritis Foundation program) Our Smooth Moves class is for people with arthritis and for anyone wanting a low- impact, water-based program to improve range of motion and strength. The curriculum is designed by the Arthritis Foundation and taught by Arthritis Foundation certified instructors.
Adult Aquatics Flex Pass Unsure of which class is for you? Want to try all the classes? Can’t attend an entire session? The flex pass is for you! This pass allows you to attend 10 classes during the session of purchase. Class size and availability may be limited.
